Lesotho: Playground for thrill seekers!

Lesotho may be one of only 3 countries in the world surrounded by the same country - that's South Africa - but small as it may be, it offers some of the most exciting adrenaline-packed holidays this side of the equator!

As the weather warms up, the Maluti Mountains transform into a playground for thrill-seeker, mountain bikers, adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers in general. Sounds like you? We've compiled some of the most exciting activities you can enjoy during your stay at Afriski Mountain Resort in Lesotho.

FLY FISHING

From October to April every year, it’s trout fishing season in the Maluti Mountains.

With Rainbow Trout and the occasional Brown Trout, you can test your skills against Lesotho’s big ones, grown large in the fresh mountain air and clean rivers.

AfriSki is near the Motete and Malubamatsu rivers and is perfectly situated to explore these unique mountain streams while you cast dry flies for wild rainbow trout. Lesotho has hundreds of kilometres of high altitude rivers and offers the finest freshwater sight fishing Africa has to offer.

Booking is essential if a guide is required.
